RecordKeeper for iOS, version 1.0

Getting started
RecordKeeper needs microphone access to record — you'll be asked to grant it
the first time you tap the mic button. No account or sign-up is required for
any of the app's core functionality.
By default, every recording is transcribed entirely on-device. Nothing leaves
your phone unless you deliberately turn on Cloud or External mode in Settings.
Common questions
- Microphone permission denied. Enable it in iOS Settings → Privacy
& Security → Microphone → RecordKeeper, then relaunch the app.
- A segment shows "failed." Its audio is preserved and untouched —
open the recording and reprocess it, or reprocess the whole recording under
a different transcription mode.
- Cloud transcription or analysis fails. Double-check the provider's
API key and base URL in Settings, and confirm your account with that
provider has available quota. See the in-app "Getting API Keys for Cloud
Providers" Help topic for where to generate a key for OpenAI, OpenRouter, or
Groq.
- "Not enough free storage" when starting a recording. Free up space
on your device — recording won't start if there isn't enough room to safely
capture it.
- I want to stop automatic deletion, or change how long recordings are
kept. Settings → Retention lets you set (or turn off) an automatic
deletion window, and choose whether it removes the full recording or just
the audio.
- I forgot my Face ID / passcode is blocking me. RecordKeeper uses
your device's own Face ID or passcode via iOS — there's no separate
RecordKeeper password to reset. If you're locked out, use whatever your
device itself accepts to unlock.
